Victor Cutino, President, Co-Founder
Victor Cutino is a veteran of the US Navy. He has worked in the medical field for over 30 years; working in the emergency room of a major hospital, managing doctors’ offices, as well as billing offices for many medical entities and was a CEO for a major Medical Equipment Company and subsequently owned one.
Mr. Cutino has retired from the medical field and has been associated with the rescue and boarding of horses since 2004. He has worked with the Davie Police on a major seizure and has helped rescue and rehomed over 200 horses. Victor Cutino continues to further his education in equine care, including courses on Large Animal Rescue, Hurricane Preparedness for Large Animals and assessing animal abuse and neglect. He is a Certified Code 3 Equine Investigator and is our representative at the Davie-Cooper City Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Cutino, along with Laura Toomey Jones, was instrumental in attaining accreditation by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. Peaceful Ridge Rescue, Inc. is the only horse rescue to hold this accreditation in Broward County, Florida.
Laura Toomey Jones, Vice President, Co-Founder
Laura Toomey Jones is the Vice President of Peaceful Ridge Rescue, Inc. Along with 30 years of equine experience, Ms. Jones is also a safety solutions-oriented Senior Project Manager with 14 years of experience in facility, environmental, and health, and safety consulting, including oversight of safety, industrial hygiene, and indoor air quality projects.
Ms. Jones has years of emergency experience including over a year on the BP Deep Horizon Oil Spill Response team and managing the safety of a team of consultants on the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina. Ms. Jones has brought her emergency management and organizational skills to Peaceful Ridge Rescue, Inc. and assists in the formation of standard operating procedures, large rescues as well as small, and is the primary contact for all adoptions.
Michelle Mason , Treasurer
Michelle Mason is the Treasurer of Peaceful Ridge Rescue, Inc. Ms. Mason has been an accountant for over 30 years and holds a bachelors degree in accounting and computer information systems. She currently works as an assistant controller for a large international insurance company. Her responsibilities include budgeting, reconciliations and financial reporting. She is very proficient in Quickbooks and Excel and is bilingual in Spanish.
Michele is a lifetime resident of South Florida who currently resides in Jupiter Farms. She lives with her husband, 2 dogs and 9 chickens. She has two horses with whom she enjoys trail riding. She and her horses have also done numerous parades and community events.
Lisa Brophy, Secretary
Lisa Brophy grew up with a menagerie of animals in Austin, Texas. She always loved horses and rode from an early age. While in school, Ms. Brophy held the position of Project Manager at a small publishing company in Texas. After earning a master’s degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona at Tucson, Ms. Brophy went on to work as a senior master trust accountant for companies including Citibank, NA and Bank of New York.
Since moving to Florida in 2007 with her family, she has served as a volunteer with many institutions including Broward County Public Schools, Memorial Hospital, and Peaceful Ridge Rescue. Her involvement with Peaceful Ridge Rescue has included a leadership role in the Food Fundraising Committee, creating artwork for special projects at the Rescue, serving as lead contact for the Silent Auction Committee and now her role as Board Secretary. As former project manager with a small publishing company, Ms. Brophy brings her skills in editing and organizing to the position of Secretary on the Board of the Rescue. Her experience with proofing and editing galley copies of work ranging from fiction to law textbooks adds to her history of experience in the area.
She is the proud mom to Sarah, also a volunteer at the rescue and Youth Volunteer of the Year for 2016.
Loiselle serves as Board Member with over 27 years of experience in the
home repair service industry for one of the largest Appliance/Air Conditioning/
Plumbing service repair & sales companies in the tri-county area. He manages the Facility Maintenance group and
is responsible for the safety & security of the premises and employees. He
is well versed in building codes and has created “Standard Operation
Procedures” for business.
In addition to his construction & safety knowledge, he has over 14 years of experience in the Telecom/Network Management field. He has been a Project Manager for both construction and technological enhancements to existing buildings and systems. As the PM, he has been able to coordinate the many diversified trades in order to complete the jobs on time and on or below budget. Jerry is very diligent in putting information together for upcoming projects and reports, so everyone involved in a project has all the information available to them as he values open communication.
Although he is new to the equine world, through the adoption of a horse, he has been a quick learner and is always attentive of the surroundings and constantly inspects the areas to insure they are safe for the horses and the humans that visit them.
John B. Agnetti, PA, Board Member
John B. Agnetti is a Senior Partner of Hoffman, Larin & Agnetti, P.A. Admitted in 1983, he became a Partner in 1989 at age thirty-two. Mr. Agnetti grew up in South Florida and is a graduate of Florida State University and California Western School of Law. He has obtained for his personal injury clients, a multitude of verdicts and settlements in excess of one million dollars. He has successfully litigated complex commercial matters in both State and Federal Court. Mr. Agnetti’s clients include various Latin American, international and local business entities.
Member: American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
William Rivera, Board Member
William Rivera is a veteran on the US Air Force. Will has worked in all aspects of business operations for over 30 years. In that time period he has been a business owner, consultant and worked for Fortune 500 companies. His impact has been felt by a number of companies, driving business operations and making opportunities for people to grow.
Will is currently responsible for all Florida business and field operations for Panche Classic event and Tent rentals Company. Since joining the company, Will has been instrumental in their growth. Will has continued his education by becoming a Lean Manager, Project Manager and S-5 Certified.
Will has a passion for people who give themselves for a cause bigger than they are. Peaceful Ridge Rescue is that place.
